Each book is breed specific, sharing stories of those who love the breed and have adopted dogs through rescue. Not only that, but a portion of the book profits are donate to a breed specific rescue group. The company has several other breeds, but is still looking for rescue stories to include in upcoming book releases.

Breeding behaviour and plumage was very apparent, but John Wise , an ex-pat Brit now resident in Orlando, told me that the birds’ activities had been held up for a couple of weeks during a cold snap that saw frosts in Florida. Outside of the tropics, nesting would usually take place in the spring (in the southern hemisphere, spring and the height of the breeding season occurs before Christmas); these pictures were taken in March as the weather in Cape Town is beginning to cool. This breed and this mare seemed to be a good match for our family. Good Idea: OTRADA originally appeared on 4 The Love of Animals on November 7, 2009. Tags: good idea. Plus, she was tolerant of children. I re-named her Otrada after our company name.
