I came across this British article from 2008. The steeply declining number of whales in the world's oceans is causing the remaining creatures to suffer loneliness and 'lose the will the live', a leading expert has claimed. An Amazing Boat Ride from Santa Cruz Island to Ventura Harbor

The last time I was out there was in January of 2008 and Daisy and I had really enjoyed both the boat ride and the island itself. It took me awhile, but I managed to get on quite a few, especially when the boat slowed down to go check out some Humpback Whales and a huge number of Common Dolphins. Humpback Whale Megaptera novaeangliae.
