Alex Hall released 650 mink from McMullin Fur farm in South Jordan, Utah in 2008. Tags: animal enterprise terrorism act mink fur ALF. He received a sentence of 21 months under the Animal Enterprise Terrorism Act (AETA.) He is expected to be released in two or three months.

The objective wasn’t even birds, it was fur seals. They are now protected by Taputeranga Marine Reserve , a marine reserve created in 2008 and to protect marine life around Wellington. It wasn’t fur seals, or even eciting birding, but it was fun to poke around. Which brings us to yesterday.

Sharks, Cape Fur Seals and even Killer Whales will prey on them in the ocean. From 1978 to 2008 the Namibian population declined from 12,162 pairs to 4,563 pairs. Obviously, the penguins are more vulnerable on land, hence their propensity to nest on offshore islands. In 1979 the South African population was estimated at 56,900 pairs.

Tails Of Aloha is an all volunteer Animal Assisted Therapy Organization, located on Oahu in the state of Hawaii, with animals on all of the major Hawaiian Islands.
