Do squirrels and birds have beef?

I currently feed the squirrels near me by leaving them nuts, but I’ve seen birds around and wanna feed them but I’m afraid I may start a war, is it ok?

They don’t have a beef, so you don’t have to worry about any fur or feathers flying, but squirrels are known for stealing birdseed or whatever the birds might going after. If you get a bird feeder, make sure it has anti-squirrel feature with it.

I could bribe the spiders into protecting the bird feed, hmm 🤔

I feed the squirrels alongside my birds daily. I’ve always enjoyed them and they get along fine with the birds.

That’s great, I’m hoping it’ll count towards accomplishing my dream of becoming Snow White

Blue jays and squirrels are at war at my house. Squirrels steal their eggs and the blue jays try to take them out because of it.

Squirrels also climb down the bird feeder secret agent style (head first) to shake the seeds out. Some days I just dump the seed on the ground.

Yes, neighbour just had to move the feeder from back to high up in the front to keep the squirrels out but now the birds don't eat the feed! I dump mine on the ground and let nature takes its course.

It’s easier honestly. I have one chonky squirrel who lays in the pile of seeds for hours. 🤣 He barely makes it across the street in time when cars come.

You won't stary a war but the squirrels will butt in and eat the nuts. I've tried providing high quality feed to the birds but those squirrels will eat it all!

Squirrels have beef with everybody.

We have some birds that don't give the squirrels a second thought. And others that will screech at them and chase the squirrels off. It's fun to watch. Acorn woodpeckers really don't like squirrels. They have never injured each other, if that is your concern.
