Question: looking for animal info
Is there a species of social animal that kills members of its species when they hoard too many resources? Like an animal equivalent to "eat the rich?"

I can't think of one. It seems unlikely, since if one of the group is hoarding resources then it's good for all of the group.
Of course, you get rival groups. They can get pissy with other groups for encroaching on their territory and taking their resources. Two examples I can think of for this are meerkats and chimpanzees.
All I can think of is humans.
Mice?
I'm gonna say chimps but they might kill each other for different reasons
