I work part time for the National Park Service (although, we’ll see what happens this weekend if there’s a federal government shutdown) and our visitor center is located in the Science Museum of Minnesota. Another idea is to put up a net over the outside of the window that prevents the birds from coming in contact with the glass.

Access: The Veliko Blato lake is being run by the Mika Alas fish farm company, so one needs to ask for a permit in advance ( management contact ), but I have not heard of any birder ever being rejected. eBird list. Based on the many references to how Apple products impact the future of birding guides, one has to wonder if Steve Jobs isn’t a bird watcher himself! The future definitely will be electronic. A complete guide would have pictures, audio, and video (something like Thayers birding software). I think the future of ID guides is video.
