Snow leopards aren't actually leopards, they are actually more closely related to tigers than actual leopards hence why people usually say lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards, AND snow leopards when identifying the panthera genus. •

Given that they are a family of obscure deepwater whales that are very hard to see, I would imagine this is a contender for one that will never leave my list. Thinking about what might come next once I see some of these, I feel like the Okapi, one of the tapirs, or perhaps even a Clouded or Snow Leopard could make the list even less do-able.

I was attending the 3rd Global Bird-watching Conference in Gujarat and suddenly surrounded not just be species that were completely new, but entire families of birds. Second, I was in India, which, had you told me even one month prior that I’d be going to India, I would have said you were crazy.
