Recent Events Involving Our Public Lands Are Alarming

In case you missed the latest news cycle, the seven armed antigovernment protesters thugs pictured above were acquitted last Thursday of federal conspiracy and weapons charges stemming from that takeover of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge last winter. Allowing armed occupiers to take over public lands sets a dangerous precedent.

This email was flagging up the activities of a ‘sporting agency’ in Britain who were offering trips/holidays to Morocco to shoot Turtle Doves.

In any event, there’s a good amount of that in this book, as well. It is organized chronologically, in four chapters, beginning in 1888, when the National Geographic Society was formed.
