Let's deconstruct: The facts of the case: "Emaciated horses eating bark off trees. Abandoned horses tied to telephone poles. Horses subsisting on feces, walking among carcasses. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics. What about people who have children they cannot afford to have? Do we recommend killing those children?

This bill amends the Illinois Horse Meat Act by banning the slaughter of horses for human consumption and also banning the possession, import or export of horse meat for human consumption. On May 24, Governor Rod Blagojevich signed the bill into law. Illinoisans breathed a collective sigh of relief.
