Lady, believed to be the oldest living Osprey in the United Kingdom, has laid her 62nd egg. It is her 22nd year nesting at the Scottish Wildlife Trust’s Loch of the Lowes reserve in Perthshire. Hat-tip to Redgannet.

The Green Iguana (Iguana iguana)

The “Rufa” Red Knot is now protected under the Endangered Species Act

Fish and Wildlife Service has listed the “Rufa” population of Red Knot ( Calidris canutus rufa ) as a threatened species under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). migration corridors from Argentina in the Southern tip of South America to Canada. Adverse effects from altered timing have been observed at migration stopovers in some years.
