Hey, we were on our way to the park when we saw this bird hit a window of a nearby building. It looked injured like it couldn't move it's neck. It's a pretty busy area near NYU so I waited with it and tried comfort it and make sure no bikes or dogs got to it. After a few minutes it felt comfortable to let me take it in the hand. I put it on nearby tree and noticed it seemed to be able to move it's neck again.

Wolves get ticks just like dogs do, but they have an average lifespan od 13, 14 years in the wild, where they can catch them almost every day for most of the year. So are they more resistant or do they somehow catch them less than dogs, maybe in other parts of the body? A single tick that can be picked up in a single walk in a park can endanger a life of a dog, harm their organs, make them lose appetite and it can take many visits to the vet for them to heal, so it's mind boggling to me that
