The tour organizer was Arpit Deomurari, whom I met on Facebook a few weeks earlier. Cows are considered sacred by majority of Hindus so cow meat is generally not consumed. Of the estimated 500 million cattle in India, only 4% were destined for consumption by humans as meat. And in the process, I fell in love with India.

Consequently, one ought not to eat meat until actual practice is changed. The question that must be raised, however, is how the conclusion not to eat meat follows from this. So, if one wants to change the present practice, the best means is to stop eating meat. Consequently, one ought not to eat meat.
