Cool Green Heron

Photographed in Cuba , the bird appears to be a melanistic Green Heron though it might perhaps be a dark form or even stained by algae. The jury is still out but what a cool bird! Hat-tip to Shawn. The proposal from U.S. Fish & Wildlife comes in response to a lawsuit brought by the Center for Biological Diversity.
