Octopus are highly intelligent creatures.not that ANY creature should suffer like this. PETA is arguing that this practice violates New York's anti-cruelty laws. Here's my question: What about, say, videos taken inside slaughterhouses?

New England Reptile Distributers just released a video explaining a terrible incident involving the FWC (Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission). " It affects the way we think about animals, and affects our views on animal cruelty. If the FWC killed 35 tortoises on video, it would be on mainstream news.

The suffering in this world that occurs at the hand of humankind and is entirely intentional, is disgusting and dispiriting. I choose not to watch videos or bombard myself with images of suffering. When a new video is released on YouTube of abuse at a slaughterhouse (as if it's not all abuse, by the way), I don't watch.
