My friend Savanna and I rose at dawn, gulped down coffee and then hit the best birding hotspots on Cedar Key, wracking up hundreds of summer species before lunchtime. Sure, I can see most of the birds in the Bahamas while living within Florida, but not in such stunning surroundings!
