No playing with little white dogs, which isn't uncommon for greyhounds. He was 85 pounds (large for a greyhound), very muscular (odd for a greyhound) and spectacularly gorgeous, with Pharaoh Hound-like ears. Far more than a diabetic greyhound. No greyhounds were forced to race in the above photo.

Animals for research purposes are coming from municipal shelters, breeders and the greyhound trade. In 2007, 394 dogs died during procedures for canine and human research. Unwanted farm dogs are another source. From the Herald Sun. The fate of many others remains unclear.

I am a vegan who has adopted a diabetic greyhound who eats vegan food ( Natural Balance ), and who is adopting a boy from Russia. Having a biological child isn't supporting an exploitation industry and at odds with the goal of the cessation of animal use the way buying from a breeder or pet store is. And Adoption Awareness Month.
