You do need to be careful of cattle wandering across the highway, as the grass always looks greener on the other side! We had both seen it go into the hollow and decided to go and investigate from a distance to see what it was. Last Sunday we went for a short drive to the east of Broome to see if we could find some sunshine!

There is a lot of bird movement around Australia at the moment due to the weather, so time to go and investigate! It actually looked like the station owner was breeding birds rather than cattle! They make such perfect V formations as they fly north and the Eastern Curlew are the most vocal.

As we came through the open fields towards the coast there were numerous Cattle Egrets among the cattle and Straw-necked Ibis. An Australian Raven was investigating the area between the forest and the coast and concentrating on something that was not apparent to us! Little Black Cormorants and Little Pied Cormorant.
