The rest of the animal advocacy community, which is the vast majority, who call themselves abolitionists, are abolitionists. It would be wonderfully dramatic to be able to say: I'm going to fight for animals rather than for language , but it's not that clear cut. It helps them focus on what's really being done to animals.

But in my vegan advocacy that's the perfect place to begin (or end). They might not have a rights position, but we use what we have.
