Aside from the breed’s abuses, one finds that adopting out this breed is highly difficult. However, any breed of dog that has been abused, neglected, or homeless may be aggressive to humans or other dogs. Pit Bull Rescue Central (PBRC) is a great resource for pit bull owners and those that find a homeless or lost pit bull.

Animals in the tri-state area are euthanized daily, rescue groups are unable to save as many lives as they wish, and animals spend years in boarding kennels while awaiting adopters to fall in love with them. Some were abused or neglected. You will have the full support of the rescue group. And the latter is selfish.
