This new campaign, sponsored by The Humane Society of the United States, Maddie’s Fund, and the Ad Council, hopes to reverse this trend and find homes for these homeless, lovable pets. The campaign has one unified goal, to increase pet adoption. Here is one of the great PSAs that The Shelter Pet Project has out.

Like every dog they are vulnerable to homelessness and mistreatment. Aside from the breed’s abuses, one finds that adopting out this breed is highly difficult. However, any breed of dog that has been abused, neglected, or homeless may be aggressive to humans or other dogs. As a breed, pit bulls have a bad rap.
