Considering the fact that her lake lies conveniently close to the Moharli Gate, I suppose Telia would be the biggest earner of all the animals of Tadoba. In 2012, the Hindustani Times claimed that from January 2011 to June 2012, a further 9 tigers were killed in the Tadoba buffer zone.

Three endangered Malayan tiger cubs were born at Busch Gardens Tampa Sunday, March 31. Each cub weighs between six and seven pounds, and is currently being monitored around the clock by the park’s animal care team. These births are critical to help preserve the species. Malayan tigers are critically endangered.

That is a big difference compared to the 2,000+ singing males detected in 2012, well above the recovery goal for this species set by the U.S. This species may need help with habitat management and cowbird removal for some time to come, but luckily Kirtland’s have responded very well to efforts to keep them around.

Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit recently decided that the Sonoran Desert population of Bald Eagle is not a listable taxon under the Endangered Species Act. In 2012, FWS determined , for a third time, that the desert eagle was not a listable taxon and CBD again filed suit. What does that mean?
