The event is held to raise awareness and money for orphaned pets while promoting responsible pet ownership. The funds raised will be used to support all the programs at Helen Woodward Animal Center.

Lost pets is a growing issue that teens care about. So DoSomething.org asked young people to submit ideas for reuniting pets with their owners. Sharleen D from Arcadia, CA plans to take pictures of all the lost pets at her local animal shelter and make an album on facebook and share it with her friends.
