Roth depicts a brown, tail-banded, evil-eyed hawk with an open-eyed parrot held upside-down, wings spread, in its claws). My favorite was the Greater Flamingo in Tanzania (Pinkest bird!). The authors note that while the baby bluebirds are intentionally portrayed as caricatures, the subject birds are carefully researched.
