Please, if you are getting a puppy or kitten, consider rescuing from a rescue or shelter, or find a very reputable breeder. Have a tissue or two handy! Luckily Billy found a happy ending, sadly many puppy mill dogs aren’t as lucky. Sadly too many dogs sold in pet stores come from puppy mills like this one.

The Blind Dog Rescue Alliance is a small group of volunteers in the United States and portions of Canada dedicated to helping blind and visually impaired dogs. Many dogs are rescued out of abusive or traumatic situations, causing them to exhibit a wide variety of emotional and behavioral problems. Juliet and Foxy, a Terrier mix and a Chow Chow/Cocker Spaniel mix, are my rescues. Juliet had a nasty case of Sarcoptic mange, which the shelter’s vet had misdiagnosed as an allergy.
