No, I haven’t sold my soul to Rupert Murdoch but I was quoted a couple of times in a New York Post article about birding in New York City. Today, the New York Post, tomorrow, the world!

Excellent!
34?!
@Corey: you can’t hide your upstate roots. “Today, the New York Post, tomorrow, the world!” ?? To true New Yorkers, NYC IS the world.
@redgannet: judging by recent pictures of Corey, it’s either a typo for 43 or Desi isn’t as quiet and peaceful as he seems. 😉 🙂
@Rick: Thanks!
@Redgannet: I know, I know, I’m practically over-the-hill. 🙂
@Jochen: You be quiet! I’m 28 if I’m a day!
By the way, I saw the print version of the article and it included a Northern Bobwhite labeled as a Ring-necked Pheasant and a Hairy Woodpecker listed as Very Rare (though, in the paper’s defense, Hairy Woodpeckers are pretty rare at Jamaica Bay which I believe is the point that they were trying to make).
