So God may love a sinner, but on this occasion the morally righteous (actually we did consider phoning ahead and lying, but were too scared we’d get caught out.

A review of the birdcentric novel “Accidentals” (the title of which is in the plural for a reason)

And, given the complicated questions of morality inherent in various parts of her story, she has the perfect (and perfectly ambiguous) ending. Torrey House Press, 342 pp., Gaines has written a fine story, with humor and sympathetic characters. And then, apparently not willing to leave well enough alone, she ruins it. Accidentals.
