NASA Funds Radiation Experiments on Monkeys

In Bergman's study, according to Discovery News, 18 to 28 squirrel monkeys would be subjected to radiation and periodically tested to gauge how exposure affects performance in a variety of learned tasks. To be honest, I like science fiction and find the universe fascinating, but I do not support NASA funding. We are nowhere near that.

Appeal Denied for Six Activists Convicted Under AEPA

Six members of Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty were convicted at a 2006 trial in New Jersey of conspiracy to violate the 1992 Animal Enterprise Protection Act. My third trip was six months spend working on a monkey project in the jungles of Uganda. In Uganda I would often cross paths with Chimpanzees as they went about their lives and I went about mine (which was living with a troop of monkeys). The second trip was for my masters project ( the one with the cave ). Amazing stuff.

Reportedly, the Water Thick-knee sometimes locates its nest close to the nest of Nile crocodiles as this offers some protection. “Arrow-Marked Babblers move around in gangs of a dozen or so, like troops of monkeys or wild dogs, constantly chattering among themselves. Or at least an “angry-looking bird” ( source ).

The Geladas of Ethiopia

This was the local name meaning “ugly” used for these primates by the people of the Gonder area in northern Ethiopia when the German naturalist Rüppell “discovered” this species for science in the 1830’s. Their fierce physical appearances give way to a far more fascinating social structure once you spend a bit of time with them.
