(Inexplicably, eBird does not consider Puerto Rico part of the United States, but if it were properly included , it would do well, with 107 species.). Even the nation’s capital has been ignored.

Only several dozen of these swans wintered in the region (the region being, approximately, Montana, Idaho and Wyoming) and for some reason they were almost all at this river in this year, and on this day, they were right there in view. There are a lot in the Mississippi Flyway these days. Canada has more than the US.

Some are all three ( e.g. , New York, California, and Florida). Even the nation’s capital has been ignored.
