I know it's generally accepted it's a bad idea to try to make a wild animal a pet but given he's not stressed by me I think he'd prefer the cage to death if he could choose. 1 - Keep it 2 - Kill it 3 - The field 4 - ? Only other option is to use a death trap that'll at least make it quick (compared to being eaten).
