At first I thought it was a pile of poop, but when I poked it with a stick it was gelatinous. I found it on the ground a few feet from the base of a pine tree.

The Calgary Humane Society works with the Stampede to make sure the animals are safe (and by the way that's impossible if the animals are being used in the rodeo. Not the rodeo.
