Among the constant winter visitors to my garden are several Warblers: Wilson’s , Yellow-rumped (Audubon’s) , Orange-crowned , Nashville , and Black-throated Gray. Nashville Warbler. And then, there are the locals who turn up for a drink of water or a bath, in spite of their natural tendency to avoid humans.

During the rainiest months, they may drop by only for a drink, preferring to bathe further away from humanity, in some puddle. But it isn’t until late December that the Nashville and Black-throated Gray Warblers join the party, as well as Summer and Western Tanagers, and Warbling Vireos. one of our Black-vented Orioles.
