When I read the description of the Mulga Parrot on a pet website, I first thought it was an advertisement for Thai mail-order brides: “The exotic appearance of the Mulga Parrot might be what attracts you first, but it’s their personality that will win you over” ( source ). Like the figbird, it mostly feeds on fruit.

Everyone talks about human rights and there exists so many groups that are either governmental or non-governmental who work toward that cause. Great Green Macaw digiscoped at the Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve, Honduras For many centuries throughout the world mankind has kept birds as pets. Also, no one should have birds as pets.

Consider this: ninety percent of birds treated at wildlife centers are admitted as a result of human interactions that have nothing to do with “nature.” Our world has changed, and humans have created that change. Wildlife no longer exists in the same way it did before humans came on the scene. The difference seems obvious.

Similar to the (fortunately now gradually changing) situation among humans in China, these birds seem to prefer males over females. So, I can only give you the sanitized version of the joke, in which humans have been replaced by birds. My late father had a few jokes that he liked to repeat frequently, which in itself was kind of funny.

That’s an old wives’ tale that says bird won’t take care of a baby bird with a human smell on it–not true at all. It’s illegal to raise wild birds (even orphaned ones) without state and federal permits. What human can point out a fox hidden nearby and how to avoid it?
