We all know how worked up waterfowl can get in suburban settings. These feathered thugs sulk around scamming bread from naive children and despoiling innocent golf courses. Swans are the ones we usually look out for, especially since they can and will kill a man when the murderous mood strikes them. But Canada Geese can be brutal too, as can their domestic (or ganky) kin. Fortunately, goose attacks are more funny than fatal, as this Daily Diversion video shows. Enjoy!

I am always wary of geese; when they open their beaks and show off those serrated toothy bits, it’s rather unnerving. Also, my uncle Arthur had his arm broken by a swan. And a swan also bit me. Not the same swan. One never knows what a bird is thinking….
Being attacked by an overprotective daddy Canada Goose was one of the scariest experiences of my life … and I was in the pit for Nine Inch Nails at Woodstock ’94, people. Nesting Canadas are no joke!
A goose attack can be fatal. One of my late father’s earliest memories was of serving as a pall bearer for a toddler who fell into a goose pen and was killed before anyone could get him out.
