Physicians Committee Accuses University of Washington of Cruelty to Ferrets

I had never heard of the use of ferrets in medical research though. The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine claims these are unnecessary procedures, even though the ferrets are apparently anesthesized during the process. I live in Seattle and I am always skeptical of how the UW treats its lab animals. News to me.

which was a comparative look at apparent, visible, often in your face biomass we observe when we as diurnal primates look around us. Other felids are all much larger, the similar sized carnivores are things like minks and ferrets, and they have very different habits. A while back I asked the question, How much bird is there, anyway?
