Birding – An Extreme Sport

For number three we need to travel to Mahango Park in Namibia. This is a small and very interesting park in northern Namibia. In my family, we have a tradition (in place since 1347 when we survived the Black Death) of “ wait over the weekend and see what happens ”. Once I got home, I started feeling very sick.

What is a Palm-thrush?

Once upon a time, when I started birding, this great family included a wide range of species collectively known as the robins and chats. The family reunited in safety. Another southern African endemic, this species ranges widely across the dry grasslands of central South Africa, Namibia and Botswana. Once their soft trilling call is learnt, they are easily detected.
