Among some other species of the kingfisher family, this species is a bit of a laughingstock. The eBird entry on the White-fronted Bee Eater is the first one I have seen that contains an exclamation mark: “They have one of the most complex of all avian societies, featuring families, clans, and pirates!” 300 birds (HBW).

With regard to cruelty and suffering, it's clear from the film that the human animal has been profoundly negatively affected by climate change, but there is no attention given to nonhuman animals. I liked the way the film connects oil use to an oil company. But they dismiss food.
