It is my opinion from personal experience that there is really no point in buying the BTX without the extender. You’d think you could fit an elephant inside comfortably after watching their presentations. With the use of the ME 1.7x Nearly all extenders affect the quality of the image viewed. This one doesn’t. Well, you couldn’t.

A juvenile night heron experimented with getting across fences (note: neither fence nor heron were hurt during the experiment). In contrast, the Common Terns present look much more elegant. Of course, Tiaozini also has Cattle Egret … … and the usually somewhat depressed looking Black-crowned Night Heron.

We were only in the area for three minutes to minimise disturbance, but by keeping our distance I was able to capture them behaving as if we were not present.
