The most famous example of military dogs is the Vietnam dogs who faithfully served American soldiers and then were abandoned to unknown fates after we left the country. But the grand tradition continues in Iraq and Afghanistan. If humans insist on wars and invasions, we should keep them to ourselves and leave other species out of it.
