Education council schedules site visits – April 2023

The AVMA Council on Education has scheduled site visits to 10 schools and colleges of veterinary medicine for the remainder of 2023.

Comprehensive site visits are planned for the University of Arizona College of Veterinary Medicine, April 4-13; Utrecht University Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in the Netherlands, May 21-25; Murdoch University Veterinary School in Australia, Aug. 6-11; the proposed School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ana G. Mendez-Gurabo in Puerto Rico, Aug. 27-31; and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Dec. 3-7.

The Old Main building on the campus of the University of Arizona in downtown Tucson, Arizona. The university’s College of Veterinary Medicine has a comprehensive site visit planned in April with the AVMA Council on Education.

Consultative site visits are planned for proposed schools of veterinary medicine at Rowan University in New Jersey, May 14-18, and Utah State University, Sept. 10-14. A focused site visit is planned for the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine’s 2+2 program with South Dakota State University College of Agriculture, Food, and Environmental Sciences, April 16-19.

Verification site visits, serving as a follow-up to site visits conducted previously on a virtual basis, are planned for the University of Melbourne’s Melbourne Veterinary School, July 29-Aug. 4, and Massey University School of Veterinary Science, Aug. 14-17.
