After writing this last sentence, I looked up the species in the HBW and found the sentence “Song poorly documented” in the appropriate section, while with regard to calls, the description is that “call is a two-note raspy nasal ‘ryeeh-reh’”. Another – much rarer – drongo at Nanhui is the Ashy Drongo.

The population is not directly dependent on human support. I suspect that way more research and documentation is conducted on indigenous bird species. Why, for example is it ok to count White-winged Parakeets in Miami but Yellow-chevroned Parakeets , which are more numerous, are off limits? There has to a logical reason.
