The JAVMArt Jubilee event on July 15 brought together artists, veterinarians, and guests to celebrate the veterinary and art worlds' union during AVMA Convention 2023 in Denver. Proceeds from the event eclipsed $12,500, which will be matched by Hill's Pet Nutrition, for a total of more than $25,000 benefiting The Street Dog Coalition (SDC).

Another animal dies at the Calgary Zoo and more questions are being raised about their practices. Incidents include a hippo who died in transport from Denver and a Turkmenian markhor, a species of wild goat, hung itself at the zoo after becoming trapped by a rope. The fatality is one in a string of animal deaths in recent years.

In addition to New York City, Purina ONE® beyOnd™ street teams took to three other cities – Denver, New Orleans and Miami – asking randomly selected people to help spread goodness by selecting a charity to receive $5,000.
