Identify Signs of Animal Cruelty

Here is a link to a PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society) web page with signs of what to look for. It's a Washington State organization, but the information is still useful anywhere.

Ana,

The list provided by PAWS makes a great deal of common sense, and I would have thought that in the majority of cases in which animals are subject to abuse, there would be at least some evident signs.

That said, animal abuse could be difficult to detect in cases where the animal concerned is restricted to places which are not in the public view.

In the case of dogs, how about an excessive amount of whining? Is whining normal or could it signify abuse?
