There's no "compassion" in the process. I wouldn't do it to a dog, and I shouldn't do it to a chicken/sheep/cow/pig. There is no question about the motive here: seduce the sheep into believing you care so that they are easier to deal with and easier to lead to slaughter. It's cruel. No argument here. It's just not right.

To the Editor: Re “ PETA’s Latest Tactic: $1 Million for Fake Meat ” (news article, April 21): The commercial development of meat from animal tissue won’t result in “fake meat” any more than cloning sheep results in fake sheep. coli bacteria or food additives.
