Now i know this a Animal subreddit but i really thinked that Colombia that is the 2nd most biodiverse country got just like less than 6 nature documentarys overall, its really sad since the country is overshadowed by Brazil, Colombia has almost half of brazil biodiversity even tho of being like 5 times smaller than Brazil, So what im trying to say (..)

I have lived in Mexico for almost 37 years, and in Michoacán for 25 years, and yet I have never witnessed a violent crime. Is it safe to bird in Mexico?

Cute and Cuter

These little Tyrant Flycatchers, present from Mexico through Colombia, never fail to charm, with their jaunty crests and characteristic “chewY-chewY!” Oh well, I’ll just have to come back again in another month. Fortunately, lots of other cute birds were present. Tufted Flycatchers could be poster-birds for cuteness.

Similar observation have been made in Cuba and the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico where up to 47,000 migrating Mississippi Kites are counted every season as they fly south. Then, they keep flying south overland to western Colombia.
