I had no idea that Switzerland is NOT part of the EU. Therefore, the EU's ban on seal products does not apply to them. But activists are trying to change that.

Visiting the continent after the end of most of the autumn migration meant that the number of bird species I could see in northern France, Switzerland, southern Germany, and Austria was much reduced. I was a bit more surprised to find a Canada Goose there as well. Only a pair of Mandarin Ducks ! Take that, Central Park!

Canada Warbler – Cardellina canadensis. Canada Goose – Branta canadensis. has reached 54. PN Braulio Carrillo–Quebrada González (Las Palmas).

EBA2 goes on to say that the “Grey Partridge has undergone one of the steepest declines of all European farmland birds”.
