In my opinion, and I am a vegetarian, the second definition of humane is the MINIMAL that we should expect. Livestock don’t contribute to campaigns, but agribusiness does. Tags: farm animal welfare factory farm agribusiness. In other words, the proverbial happy farm animal. The eventual kill is quick, clean, and painless.

Often confused with American Humane Association, they raise tens of millions, not to ‘save the animals’ as most people assume but to further the causes of vegetarianism and ending animal agriculture." The Humane Society of the United States is the big bully on this strange playground. I wish their mission was to end animal agriculture.
