Many of the birds were being wing tagged and GPS makers as well in order to track their movements. He is one of the nine birds that I saw with wing tags. After driving thru as much desert as we have lately, I was still absolutely shocked, when Jeanne cried out, “CAMELS”!! My first, was also found in the gardens.

These birds are tagged and migrate to the Sululta Plains on the Ethiopian highlands were they spend their winter. This plain used to be little affected by humans, being grazed by just a few cattle, goats and camels.
