My Top Ten Birds of 2016 (or, Let’s Remember the Good Things about 2016)

Greater Adjutants are huge birds that were once widespread across much of Southeast Asia; today there are two small breeding populations in India and Cambodia. Seeing this giant, awkward yet majestic bird walk through the densely littered landscape was a surreal experience. (4) I think this might be my best bird of 2016.
