My name is Rene Montero Serrano, I was born in Colombia and I have been a nature travel explorer since I was a kid. Around the year of 2007, I was working in the field living with various local communities and understanding their needs, while at the same time mass international tourism was starting in Colombia.

Inírida is the capital city of the department of Guainía in the east of Colombia, mere 25 km (15 mi) from the border with Venezuela. Field guides As far as I have noticed, the entire group (including me) was using the latest Lynx edition of Hilty’s Birds of Colombia. The food was tasty and hearty.

The nation of Colombia has been the victim of some bad press over the last few decades, not all of this is entirely unjustified. The government of Colombia was involved in a long-simmering and occasionally boiling war with guerilla groups in the rural parts of the country. Proud of their nation of music and color and art.

” The book in question is Birds of Bolivia: Field Guide , edited and written by Sebastian K. Like a shy stepchild, it’s always eclipsed by the wonders of Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, etc. The guide covers 1,433 species, the number of birds documented at the end of 2014, the cutoff point for the book.

Also, with each copy of the book you get a voucher with a Lynx Edicions website page link and a code to download the.pdf country checklist that follows the same taxonomy as your field guide (and you wouldn’t want it any other way). But Torrent Ducks are fearless and to witness some of their daredevil feats ranks pretty high in the book “1000 Avian Spectacles to See Before You Die” A book that I have not yet written. Torrent Ducks share their habitat in Colombia with another striking and highly unusual species, the White-capped Dipper.

It provides goals and a definite direction for your birding travels and thoughts; sometimes it even becomes the basis of a book! It is also one of the photographs by author Jon Dunn that appears in the book itself. One of Dunn’s biggest challenges in writing this book, I imagine, was describing the objects of his passion.
