There are also wild boars and macaque monkeys and you are advised to not rustle plastic bags, because they associate the noise with food. Although the tide was in we were still able to observe several species of shorebird on Pulau Sekudu. We had encountered almost sixty bird species and had a very enjoyable day out.

We had found thirty four bird species so far in Singapore and had to admit defeat due to lack of sleep and returned to the hotel. We had been busying bird watching all over Singapore and had reached 112 bird species and had decided it was time to visit Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve. 169 bird species and one day to go!
